It happens in just a moment.

A mild, fall day highlighted with bright rays of sunshine is suddenly thrust into blizzard conditions. Without warning, a remote chance of drizzle turns into a snowy, wind whipped whiteout.

The same is true in life. One minute everything is going smoothly. The next minute everything is chaotic. Yesterday your life couldn’t get much better. Toady, you can’t imagine it getting much worse. Last week’s long range planning is abruptly interrupted by this week’s unforeseen crash.

Weather and life both need an early warning system. But what possible early warning system is available?

In weather circles, great strides are being made. High tech, sophisticated equipment operated by well-trained men and women is making a significant difference. Effective warnings and early preparations are saving lives and lessening damage.

In life, God has already perfected an early warning system. It is the futuristic counsel of His Word. The Divine forecast of Scripture is right on. The equipping of the Holy Spirit enables leaders to boldly call listeners to take warning.

The changing winds of life are constantly blowing. Lives are in the balance. Their eternity is at stake. The early warning system of God’s Word is fail-safe.

As spiritual leaders, we must be passionately vigilant and faithfully persistent to broadcast the early warning Truths of God’s Word.
